What is the Pigeon Card?
The Pigeon Card is an arts and culture, dining, shopping and tourist card that will be honored at merchant locations in the Cultural District. Pigeon cards are free and will be available to the public at locations around the Cultural District.
How is it promoted?
An minimum of 5000 cards will be printed and promoted through:
- CalgaryCulture.com and CulturalDistrict.ca web offer pages and newsletters
- Calgary’s Culture Month celebration in September 2010
- Point of purchase visuals
How does this benefit my business?
- Get free promotion for your business
- Build awareness and customer traffic to your business
- Stimulate repeat customers
How do I join?
- The Pigeon Card is a free program offered to businesses located within or in proximity to the Cultural District. View the map.
- Develop an offer that will be associated with the Pigeon Card. Your offer could be:
- A flat rate percentage or dollar off discount that is valid all the time (e.g.10% off, $2 off admission)
- A discount or deal on a certain item or for a specific time period (e.g. $3 draught beer, extra 10% off happy hour prices from 4-6pm)
- Free services or products with purchase (e.g. Free glass of wine with purchase of entrée)
- A short term offer valid on a specific date (e.g. 2 for 1 tickets for May 6, special behind the scenes tour for card holders on June 20)
By joining the program you agree to:
- Ensure that the offer will be readily available to Pigeon Card holders when they show their membership card or mention the deal.
- Keep the offer valid for a minimum of 6 months (if applicable).
- Inform us if you want to change the offer or withdraw from the program.
- Provide a tracking code for your offer or count usage on a monthly basis.
