Announcing: Team Calgary 2012

This is so exciting and motivating. Being a professional artist in this city just got better! The locals arts scene in Calgary plays such a tremendous role in sustaining and in continually developing Calgary's beauty, vitality and richness of culture, through education and performances alike, Calgary artists are tireless. Calgary's arts and cultural mosaic is by far the most unique, with such a dedicated and diverse group of artists in all forms of expression from literary arts, photography, visual and performance arts, so very multifaceted and so multicultural! So many great venues continue to open up and help support this thriving arts community, taking such great care of artist's basic needs so that we are fit to continually create larger bodies of works. The arts community in Calgary is very local and very inclusive, engaging and energetic, there is a lot happening behind the scenes and underground. Many unsung and extremely humble artists who are not in the lime light but pour forth such a brilliant light for all to bask in. There is always a cause for celebration in the arts, so this is nothing short of a fantastic reason to celebrate together. I'm so proud of Calgary right now!
