Join NMC and the Calgary ReggaeFest for Music@Noon: Reggae Lunch'n'Learn, a monthly lunch hour presentation sharing the history and evolution of Reggae. Thursday May 3rd features: Rasta and Reggae. And bring your appetite! Casual Catering by Sylvia will be bringing a fabulous Jamaican infused dinner for the low price of $8.00 for you to enjoy.

Joining forces with the remounting of Alberta Ballet's Love Lies Bleeding, the National Music Centre is pleased to offer an Elton John themed tour of our collection. Join us at 6pm for a flamboyant First Thursdays tour celebrating the life and legacy of the living legend Sir Elton John. Come donned in your most fabulous Elton-appropriate finery and decorate your very own glam eyewear in our glasses-decorating pre-tour workshop. Afterwards, you'll discover the stories behind some of Sir Elton's best loved songs and hear them played on the instuments of the NMC collection, including one of his early songwriting pianos.
