Pop quiz: which continent has the most French speakers? With an estimated 115 million people speaking French, Africa is the correct answer. Surprised? Come to Alliance Française (1221 2 St SW) Friday, February 17 at 7pm for “Spectacle de Variété Afrique Francophone”, a variety show destined to dazzle you. Joining us onstage is the crème de la crème of Franco-African talent: Congolese poet and actor Tchitala Kamba, percussionist Bassirou Sylla, balafon player Jean Paul, keyboardist Brian Quaye, and local hip hop goup Musaka 5. The evening will surely be a tour de force, and as an added bonus: entrée gratuite!
