Noises Off by Michael Frayn
If you were to witness the process of bringing a play from script to stage, of course what you saw could be compared to a tightly run ship, a well oiled machine ... and in the case of Noises Off, a slippery slope of nonstop, high-energy fun.
In... this raucous farce, everything that could go wrong goes very wrong, much to our amusement. We get to watch as a troupe of actors and their director struggle to put the finishing touches on the comedy “Nothing On.” During this play within a play, from dress rehearsal to 3 months in to performance, we are delighted with dropped lines, slamming doors, forgotten props, whisky, missed entrances, personality clashes, drama on a grand and pregnant scale, late starts and sardines; all of which conspire to keep you laughing.
Back by popular demand, Morpheus Theatre is proud to present Michael Frayn’s hysterical hit, Noises Off.
